The Narcissus was native to the Mediterranean, later improved in England and imported to Japan via China. Three years after its opening in 1993, the park started growing the special kind narcissuses suitable for sandy soil in the area. Starting with 100,000, the park now boasts of 1 million beautiful narcissuses, larger in number than any other city park in the country.
